OMFG So Yummy Bolognese over Rice!


This is the Recipe I followed to the T, old Italian recipe from a dear friend of mine for a long time!! DELICIOUS!!!

Easy to follow recipe and takes a while to make so you can try this at home but be prepared to be in the kitchen for a little while or serve it for a dinner party always yummy!!!

1/4 pound pancetta chopped finely
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 pound ground beef
1 (15oz.) can while tomatoes
1(15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 med. onion chopped
5 garlic cloves
1 stalk of celery
1 carrot
fresh oregano
fresh basil
kosher salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup milk or cream
1/2 cup red wine
some e.v.o.o.


Chop the pancetta very good and brown in a pan like back and drain...

Peal and chop onion garlic cloves basil oregano celery and carrot, put in a large skillet on med-high setting heat e.v.o.o. Add the vegie mix cook for about 5 minutes until the vegies start to get tender put the vegies in a bowl and save for later...

Return the skillet to the head add the beef and pork brown into small clumps add the vegie mix milk or cream red wine salt and pepper the tomatoes after being chopped a little and the tomato sauce as well, MIX ALL VERY WELL!  cover the skillet and simmer over low to med heat for about 30 minutes.

Then make your rice or pasta which ever your prefer serve with some parm cheese on top and maybe a sprig of fresh baisl...only to you liking...this is not a every day meal however it is one for the record books!!!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it...try it soon...
